Help for filling out the fields when becoming a member
Takes you to your member ID card, living will and emergency information.
You can view and print the member ID card immediately, but the living will must be edited before it can be viewed, and the emergency information cannot be accessed until you edit the living will.
Enter and save your own information before adding any family members.
Can also be found on the blood type card.
If you have a blood type card you will find the information there. If not leave blank.
If you know your blood type select it here.
If you do not know it, please occasionally go to a laboratory or your family doctor for determination.
We need the blood group to indicate how many donors are available per blood group.
You can add this at any time if you do not know the blood group now.
Is not an input field, but automatically indicates which donors you can receive blood from.
If we haven’t already asked everything you want to share.
Here you can also enter diseases that you have been through that are not on the list, e.g. allergies.
You first select the country and then the district/state.

Vaccinated or Unvaccinated. Select “have lab confirm” if you are not sure.
Please enter the date of birth in this format:
Day, Month, Year – so e.g. 25.06.1968 for June 25, 1968.
Otherwise the system will not accept your entry.

This button will take you to all the following fields to be filled in to activate your membership. Please fill in as many fields as possible. If you don’t know what to write in a field, leave it blank and go to the next one.
Fields with a red star are required: It is mandatory that we know your name, age, blood type (if you don’t know this now, fill it in later), where you live, and how we can reach you. Also, uploading your ID is to verify your identity.
We do NOT share any data with anyone else at any time.
And again, if we don’t have your relevant information, your registration with us is pointless.
Here you provide the information that is essential for the medical professional who must decide what the priorities are, in case you are hospitalised unconscious as an emergency. (E.g. pacemaker or similar).
Is written on the front of your member card along with all the necessary medical information.
Fill out only if you are entering a family.
Here you can add a family member or delete the entry for the person you currently see. However, only this person will be deleted, the other family members will remain. If you click “Delete entry”, you will first be asked again if you really want to delete the entry. Deleting by mistake is not possible.
Before you can complete your registration, you must have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions. We need your permission to use your data – by confirming the terms and conditions you give us this permission.
If your preferred contact is a messenger, please provide your messenger ID (WhatsApp, etc.).
You certainly don’t want anyone else to be able to access your member information. We therefore recommend a strong password that is as complicated as possible. However, you are completely free to use a password that you can easily remember. Just keep in mind, if you can remember it easily someone else might be able to as well 😉.
Here you will be redirected to the membership fee payment. You choose whether you pay by credit card or bank transfer. You can also choose the currency – however we have the smallest fees if you transfer in CHF. Thank you for your contribution.
Takes you to the credit card payment portal. You can do this at any time.
Alternatively, you can transfer directly to our bank account.
What is the best way to contact you if we need you as a blood donor? Telephone? WhatsApp? Email?
You either allow us to list your name on our website (e.g., in a list of new additions – is in preparation), or declare that you want to remain completely anonymous.
If you cannot or do not wish to donate blood please describe why.
Fill in this field only if you have selected in the previous field “Donor/Recipient” that you are a recipient only – otherwise leave it blank.
If you cannot or do not wish to donate blood describe why. Examples: “too old”, “too young”, “anaemic”, “health reasons” – you can specify the latter below.
Takes you to the “Donor/receiver” page, where you fill in the other fields to continue your registration and enter your relevant data.
Please enter all the data there – your registration is not complete until you have entered all the data such as blood type, phone number, etc.
If we don’t know how to contact you or what blood type you have, your registration is useless.
After you have filled in all fields, save your entries by pressing the red “Save entry” button. Also you have to press it again after you have uploaded your ID card. If you leave the page without “Save entry”, your entries will NOT be saved and you will have to enter them again.
If, in addition to using the membership database (donate and receive blood), you would also like to actively participate in club life – e.g. be present at the annual general meeting, please select “Donate/receive blood and active association participation” in this drop-down box. Otherwise, simply leave the first selection option already selected.
This is where you confirm your information.
Please upload your ID card here below: first press “select” (then either choose a file or take a photo), then “upload” (the window with the name of the file changes to green, and the message “successfully uploaded” appears). IMPORTANT: at the end press the red “Save entry” button.
All common formats are recognized: JPG, PDF, etc., but it is important that the filename does not contain spaces or special characters.
Your badge will be deleted again after validation by our staff, and instead of the badge you will see “Your badge/ID has been validated and deleted” afterwards.
Here you upload an identity card (ID, passport or similar) – The first page is sufficient. With “Choose file” you choose a picture to upload, with “Upload file” you upload it, and with “Save entry” you finish the data entry. After that you will also see your ID card. Why do we need it? We need to be able to make sure you are a real person and not a “mole” 🙂 .
Your badge will be deleted again after validation by our staff, and instead of the badge you will see “Your badge/ID has been validated and deleted” afterwards.
